Regulatory basis
The LPC is delivered under EASA Part-FCL and Appendix 9. The OPC follows EASA Part-ORO.FC.230 or the equivalent National Aviation Authority requirement of your operator. Combined checks are permitted when a single examiner is authorised for both.

Can LPC and OPC be flown in the same session?
Yes. Part-FCL (LPC) and Part-ORO (OPC) requirements are commonly combined in a single Full Flight Simulator session, provided the profile covers both scopes and the examiner is authorised for both.
Do I need an airline OPC if I am freelance?
An OPC is required for pilots operating for an Air Operator Certificate holder under Part-ORO. Freelance pilots between contracts typically only need an LPC. If you are joining a new operator, they will normally require you to fly the OPC on their SOP during line training.
What is the difference in the check profile?
The LPC is prescribed by Appendix 9 of Part-FCL. The OPC follows the operator manual and adds airline-specific SOP items, CRM assessment and, often, an emergency evacuation or in-flight security scenario. Combined sessions integrate both.
Do I need my operator manual on the day?
If the OPC is being conducted against your employer SOP, we require the current OM-B and OM-A extracts relevant to the profile. Please send them at least seven days before the session.
How long is a combined LPC/OPC session?
Four hours of Full Flight Simulator time plus pre-brief and debrief. The candidate flies as Pilot Flying for their check and Pilot Monitoring for their partner.
Do you offer Line Oriented Evaluation (LOE) as part of the OPC?
Yes. LOE-style scenarios can be built into the OPC when your operator or licensing authority requires them. Discuss requirements at booking.
